| OUR MISSION |
Our mission is to enhance the academic experience of King High School students, and to serve as a source of information for students and parents about various academic issues.

| WELCOME FRESHMEN |
To freshmen and their parents, the King High School Academic Booster Club welcomes you to our excellent high school! We believe that joining the King ABC is a great way to get involved in making your son or daughter's academic experience the best it can be!

| WHY SHOULD I JOIN? |
We provide funds to help students take various national tests, fund scholarships to seniors, assist with Advanced Placement test preparation, and more. The KHSABC provides two $500 scholarships to students who are members. The winners are chosen by random drawing at the end of the year. Seniors who attend ABC general meetings are given an extra ticket, or chance in the drawing. We also give away two $25 gift cards by random drawing at each general meeting as an Academic Stimulus Prize. In addition to the two $500 scholarships, the KHSABC is happy to announce the availability of the new Horizon Achievement Gift(s) scholarship for the King High School Class of 2009! Here is also some information about some new TAMUCC scholarships.

| HELP WANTED |
| The King High School ABC needs Volunteers and Corporate Sponsers. We need parents who are willing to disucuss their career or college experience with King students. We also need volunteers for various fund raising activities. The ABC also gives scholarships, patches and more to outstanding students and we need help to pay for it. If you would like to volunteer, or if your company would like to help sponsor some of these costs, contact us at: khsabc@texmaps.com
